Buckley and Leaders was established in 1993 by engineer-attorneys Ronald R. Leaders and John W. Buckley to offer professional services to owners, designers and contractors in the construction industry. Buckley & Leaders mission is to provide practical, cost-effective, solutions-oriented legal advice. We are committed to superior client service, responsiveness and respect of the unique needs of each of our clients. Ronald R. Leaders earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. in Metallurgy from Georgia Tech in 1966 and 1971. Mr. Leaders earned a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1975 and was enrolled in a Master of Tax Law Program at Georgetown Law School in 1979. Mr. Leaders has admissions to practice in Washington, California, Idaho, U.S. District Court and U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Leaders is a former Managing Director and General Counsel in R. W. Beck, an international engineering and environmental consulting firm; former Associate General Counsel with Morrison-Knudsen Company, an international design and construction services company, and former Contracts Manager in the petrochemical industry with Bechtel Corporation and Chevron Corporation. Mr. Leaders participated on the Engineer's Joint Contracts Development Committee, which develops standard construction contract documents. John W. Buckley earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering at Purdue in 1964 and 1966. Mr. Buckley earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1986. Mr. Buckley is a former Vice President and Engineering Services Manager for URS consultants, a former associate with R. W. Beck and Associates, former Sanitary Engineer for the State of Alaska Department of Health and Welfare and former Design Engineer/party Chief for the State of Alaska Department of Highways. In 1998 Mr. Buckley retired from the practice of law and has returned to the engineering profession. Mr. Buckley currently enjoys a position as the Public Works Director for the City of Mount Vernon in Washington State. Terri Lindow is a paralegal who joined Buckley & Leaders in 1995. Following 10 years in sales and customer service, she began working in the legal field with the law firm of George Hull Porter and Kohli, working on complex litigation, asbestos and other toxic tort litigation, personal injury and legal malpractice cases. Ms. Lindow has been an active volunteer for the Northwest Women's Law Center since 1989, volunteering on their information and referral hotline, drafting pro se family law forms and informational packets, performing community outreach and participating in various fundraising activities.
